MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Nodaway County Health Department confirmed a ninth COVID-19 related death in the county over the weekend.
The latest victim was a man in his 80s. The Health Department released no other details about the victim. Health officials also confirmed 11 more cases of COVID-19 in the county.
There have now been 718 cases of COVID-19 in Nodaway County; 61 cases are still active. Northwest Missouri State University says of those 61 active cases, 21 involve Northwest students and employees.
Officials continue to urge residents to social distance and practice good hygiene.
